你有沒有曾經跟人家講電話突然斷線 但是打回去不知道怎麼告訴他這件事?

講電話到一半斷掉了說I got cut off.

掛斷…的電話；使…電話掉線

📌to cause a person or place to become separate, or cause someone to be or feel alone

阻斷，隔斷，隔絕

He cut himself off from other people. 他不跟人來往

The town has been cut off by the storm. 小鎮因為暴風雨跟外界隔絕了

另外補充其他用法
📌cut sb off, If someone serving drinks in a bar cuts you off, that person stops serving you alcoholic drinks because they think you have drunk too many.不賣給…酒
或者在口語中也有不給(某樣東西)這樣的用法
例如
He is drinking too much. We need to cut him off.
他喝太多酒了，我們不能再讓他喝了

📌cut sth off, to remove a part of something to make it smaller or shorter, using a sharp tool such as a knife
（用鋒利的刀具等）去除，切除，剪去
e.g. He had his arm cut off in a car accident. 他在一次車禍中失去了他的手
📌to stop providing something such as electricity, supplies, etc.
中斷，切斷（電力、物資供應等）
e.g. Our electricity will be cut off if we don’t pay the bill in time. 如果沒有按時繳帳單，我們就會被斷電
