I am at your disposal.

〈I am at your disposal.

I am at your disposal.

XD</del>

Dis- added to the front of some words to form their opposites

pose –position

How did they dispose of the body?

Man proposes, God disposes

I am at your disposal.= I’m happy to help, just let me know (in a formal way of speaking)

I remain at your disposal. It’s a more formal way to say “I’m here for you”, “I’m avalible for you”

dispose of sb/sth, to get rid of someone or something or deal with something so that the matter is finished

dispose sb to/towards sb/sth, to make someone feel a particular way towards someone or something

That song disposed me very kindly to the singer.

at sb’s disposal, available to be used by someone

CONFIRM/CHECK/MAKE SURE用法一次搞懂

I’m want to go back to what you just said.

you went too far.

he will go by the name of Austin.

Austin

I’d like a sandwich to go, please.

the dog went after him.

go for it, to do anything you have to in order to get something

I don’t think I can get the job.

you should go for it!

go far(go a long way), to be very successful in the future

She is a very smart girl. I’m sure she’ll go far.

on the go, very busy

I’ve been on the go all day, and I’m really tired.

It’s a no go.= it’s not going to work./ you can’t do that.

要說I’m coming soon.還是I’m going soon.呢?

答案是I’m coming soon.

I’m going soon.

（NO）Where do you put these dishes?

（YES）Where do these dishes go?

（NO）How do you sing the song?

（YES）How does the song go?

（NO）The clock doesn’t walk.

（YES）The clock doesn’t go.

Where do I claim/collect my luggage?
I’m going to visit my friend.
Someone is asking for you.

請不要問服務台 where can I find my luggage?

Where do I claim/collect my luggage?

I’m going to find my friend.

I’m going to visit my friend.

Search the internet for the best deal.

Someone is asking for you.

find your feet, to become familiar with and confident in a new situation

It’s not easy to find your feet when you start a new job.

find it in your heart to do sth, to be willing and able to do something unpleasant or difficult

He cheated on me. There’s no way I can find it in my heart to forgive him.

find (sth) out, to get information about something because you want to know more about it, or to learn a fact or piece of information for the first time

How did she find out about this?

find your voice, to become willing to talk

I believe you’ll find your voice when I come back with the check.

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Confirms Dove’s Neurosurgery Was a Success

This is the article I read recently.

Before I became a mother, I only knew that I would love my baby with all my heart.

After I am a mother, I know that I’m willing to die for my daughter without a second of hesitation.

Not every mother on planet earth shares the same feelings with me.

But if you do, I think you would be pretty sad too when you read news like this.

When I was a girl and I imagined how my future child would be like.

If it’s a boy, I want him to be tall, smart, and handsome. better earn a lot of money and take me traveling when he gets older.

If it’s a girl, I want her to be pretty, wise, and sweet. maybe become a star so I can be famous too.

However, the moment I found out I was pregnant, all I ever wanted is for her to be safe and healthy.

Luckily, she is.

I became pretty sentimental after being a mom.

I cried when I read this article.

I can’t imagine how hard it is to have a child with this kind of rare disease.

Teddi is a really strong and powerful woman without doubts.

I don’t know how she pulled it off but she did.

And I respect her for that.

“According to the Mayo Clinic, Lambdoid Craniosynostosis “is a birth defect in which one or more of the fibrous joints between the bones of your baby’s skull (cranial sutures) close prematurely (fuse), before your baby’s brain is fully formed. Brain growth continues, giving the head a misshapen appearance.”

“Teddi opened up why she wanted to share the news with everyone.”

Open up, to start to talk more about yourself and your feelings

“I feel like I have a lot of nerves, I’m trying my best to stay focused on staying calm as I possibly can for her.”

a lot of nerves, a great amount of courage, resolve, or integrity

you have a lot of nerves指你很有勇氣

“I don’t really know what to expect.”

expect, to think or believe something will happen, or someone will arrive

Earth

He’s down to earth.

What on earth are you doing?

I will move heaven and earth to get it done.

Hard drink

Soft drink

I’ll do a ___. 我想點xxx。

I’m gonna have a ___. 我想要xxx。

I’m gonna stick to xxx.

I’m gonna go xxx on the rocks.

I want a ___ neat.

Underway= it is happening

Driveway= a short private road that leads from a public road to a house or garage

Parkway= a wide road, usually divided, with an area of grass and trees on both sides and in the middle

Way to go= well done

He’s come a far way this year.

I think you’re way off base. Try again!

Think

I don’t think much of her.

Don’t even think about it！

I’m sorry. I wasn’t thinking straight.

I thought as much.

Just think — she dropped school and got married.

To think that all that money was gone.

Are you high?

I’m so high XDD

Highway, a public road, especially an important road that joins cities or towns together

高速公路是superhighway/freeway(US)

要小心Take the high road不是叫你上高速公路XD

it means doing the right thing even if it’s not popular or easy

I’m so hot.

It’s so hot.

I feel so hot.

Open

Open the door

Turn on the TV

switch on the light

Close the door

Turn off the TV

Switch off the light

Take a seat.／Have a seat.（informal)

Please be seated. (Formal)

Sit tight, to stay where you are

Be sitting pretty, to be in a good situation, usually because you have a lot of money

很多人應該都有聽過orange is the new black這部美劇吧?
meaning that orange is currently considered stylish, like black.
“x is the new y” 在英文裡是很常用的(x is now cool in the way y was or is)
Gray is the new green’也是同樣用法喔
Gray

He is the black sheep.
She is a black horse.
She just blacks out for no reason.
This is worth a fortune on the black market.
